I have been friends with Bob Wood since 1999 and been on numerous motorcycle trips during that time. I read his book and realized what transpired is a mirror image of Bob and how he lives his life. Great book and great man!!!

I'm familiar with Bobby Wood because of his Harley-Davidson performance parts business. I was ordering parts from Wood Performance for a customer on the phone and mentioned seeing the book advertised on the website to Terry. I got an autographed copy and put it aside for a couple months because it was my busy season.

When I started reading it, I was immediately captivated. As the story unfolded, I couldn't believe the ambition, tenacity and sheer guts Bobby exhibited during this incredible adventure. A lesser man would have thrown in the towel, but not Bobby Wood. The obstacles that were purposely and repeatedly put in Bobby's way only seemed to steel his resolve. Overcoming corruption, threats, danger, and shady "business" propositions, Bobby succeeded in his goal to rescue 464 Juliet. In my humble opinion, Bobby Wood is a national treasure and it's men like him that have made America great. God Bless Bobby, Terry and the rest of the team at Wood Performance.

I was finally able to sit down after Thanksgiving and read Bobby Woods Book, 464 Juliet. I had no idea this would be such an amazing story of perseverance combined with the tangled web of Columbian corruption. Bobby was truly watched over by God during his relentless efforts to get Juliet home. His poor wife Terri had to have been a wreck during these trips to Bogota. The book was so well written, so descriptive and these personal events seem like scenes one would find in a movie. What a great book, loved every bit of it. So glad both Juliet and Bobby made it home safely.

On Wednesday, April 30, 2025 I met Bobby Wood.

On Thursday, May 1, 2025 Bobby gave me a copy of his book "Learjet 464 Juliet".

On Sunday, May 4, 2025 I finished reading Bobby's book.

The book captured and kept my attention to the end, a task that is difficult to accomplish. I looked forward to each chapter and to learning how in hell Bobby was going to get out alive...much less with "464 Juliet". I thought he was about to meet his demise several times.

He credits his guardian Angel with his success, and I think his dogged perserverence played a part too. He may have gotten that trait from a Devine source, but he enhanced and performed the tasks and endured the tribulations.

On May 13, 2025 Bobby was kind enough to autograph my copy of "464 Juliet."

It's my pleasure to know Bobby Wood from meeting him and from reading his adventures.

I also recently finished reading Learjet 464 Juliet by Bobby Wood. I was introduced to the book by the autor himself while researching engine components for my Harley-Davidson. Let me start by saying Bobby is an extrodinary businessman. As busy as he is he took the time to educate me on the phone about his products and advise me on which products work the best in conjunction with his.

On to the book, it's a 'can't put it down', 'non stop', 'what in the world is coming next' thriler. Trials and tribulations of a man on a mission to fufill his dream desire and need, not only for his focus objective, but a drive to succeed. This is a man that does not have the word "no" in his vocabulary. His discription of the charactors was complete. He made the reader feel like friends and/or acquaintances. I came to really like some of them and even found the adversaries quite interesting. I felt like I wanted to look into their dirty little minds further. I could almost feel Bobby's pain in the up's and down's he went through with the mind games played on him at every turn. In the end I was sad to see it was over, not because he came out triumphant but because I will miss him and his band of soldiers.

In conclusion I have to say I loved the book and highly recommend reading it. I give Bobby and his book a five star rating and congratulate him in his triumph.

I just finished reading 464 Juliet. What a fantastic book! I couldn’t hardly put it down.

I didn’t think I’d get so invested in the story of a man fixing and buying an airplane, but I wound up reading it in 2 days. All the trials and tribulations Bob went through, all the BS, people trying to scam him, and the logistics of getting parts to Columbia made for quite the tale.

I found myself pulling for Bob, and also getting disappointed when he hit a setback or problem.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure novels.

BOBBY WOOD! What an amazing man. So strong in his faith he was able to reach his dream. Thanks be to God. My husband received this book while struggling with cancer. He never got strong enough to read it. He passed in January 2024. I found time and read this mind awakening story of what goes on in our country and other countries. I live in a rural area and it's hard to fathom all the corruption that exists. Thank you for sharing this major journey in a chapter of your life. You have such a supportive wife and family. Bravo to all the men that assisted in the physical and mentally challenging ordeal.

All I can say is WOW!!!!, what a book. All Lear pilots should buy and read this book. Read it slow and absorb every sentence. An adventure of a lifetime. Mr Wood came upon this bird along the coastline of Columbia and became obsessed with her instantly. You will be gripped with his story the moment you open his book and read the one page insert he includes in it. Once you read it, you're hooked. I was!!!!

Bobby, when I called to discuss cam selection for a customer's Harley Davidson I had no idea of your background beyond drag racing and hi performance Harley components. I don't remember but, one of us mentioned flying and you told me about 464 Juliet and the book. Captivating.... absolutely captivating from the Preface to the last sentence. Not only is the book a true account of your experiences in Colombia with corruption and graft at all levels of government but, a true testament of your faith in God. Your writing style draws the reader into the events making it very difficult to put the book down. I read it cover to cover in four days...... completely captivating. I agree with a number of others who suggested 464 Juliet would make an outstanding "HBO type mini series"

Bobby Wood, I just completed reading your book Learjet 464 Juliet. It was riveting! Every chapter I read left me in suspense, bringing excitement for the next chapter. I am not a daily reader, but I couldn't put the book down. I completed it in four days. It was a great read for me, especially because it was a true story. The authors faith, determination, and positive character is to be admired. I think this book would make a great movie, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely LOVED reading the intriguing story of Learjet 464 Juliet. To say that this book keeps you riveted from page to page is an understatement. Being an entrepreneur, I completely “get it” when it comes to a dream becoming an obsession that eventually (after a lot of pain and heartache) becomes a reality. Sometimes it’s hard for others to catch your vision or even make sense of it when a project captures your imagination and you are committed to seeing it through, no matter what. I felt the emotion and angst when reading the descriptions of the delays caused by the culture's lack of urgency. Also noted was the aggravation caused by the deception and greed of many of the parties that had to be engaged during the odyssey to bring 464 Juliet home where she belonged. If I could change one thing about the book, I would have loved for it to have included at least one more chapter as an epilogue to describe the events after Juliet made it back to the U.S.A. Was she restored to like-new condition? Was she sold to the highest bidder who was looking to score a much coveted aircraft? Is she still in service today? All questions I would love to know the answer to. Wonderful read!
